Minister of State for Haj and Auqaf and Power, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi Wednesday directed the executing agency to speed up the pace of work on the r-APDRP in the Kashmir division.
The Minister was speaking at a review meeting convened to discuss the implementation of r-APDRP in Kashmir Division, an official spokesperson said this evening.
Commissioner-Secretary, PDD, Dheeraj Gupta, Development Commissioner Power, Gul Ayaz, Chief Engineer, Bashir Ahmad Khan and representatives of executing agency were present in the meeting.
The Minister while directing speeding up the execution process said that the scheme is pivotal for strengthening and augmenting the power infra in the valley and necessary measures should be put in place for its speedy execution.
He said that the officers and the executing agency should hold regular meetings to remove the bottle necks so that it is completed within the stipulated time frame.
The Minister said that Government has undertaken a comprehensive program for up gradation of the power sector and in this regard several centrally and state sponsored schemes have been undertaken which would ensure that people get round the clock electricity and transmission losses are minimized.
The Minister directed the executing agency to gear up work on the feeder points and ensure that no further delay is done in the completion of the project.
