Another Amarnath Yatri died and nine others were injured on Tuesday when a parked bus rolled down 45 metres into a deep gorge in Pahalgam area of Kashmir, reports said.

The vehicle, which was stationed at a parking lot, went down the gorge at Chandanwari area after the driver failed to apply hand brake, they said. All the 10 pilgrims were rushed to Islamabad district hospital.

“One of the pilgrims later succumbed to injuries while condition of two others was stated to be critical,” reports quoted police as having said, adding that the critically injured persons were being airlifted to a hospital in Srinagar for treatment.

With today’s death, the number of pilgrims who have died during the on-going Hindu Yatra has climbed to 19, they said.
