In a tragic incident, three persons were killed when they fell from a vehicle in Chenab valley’s Kishtwar district on Thursday.

Grieved, Inderwal lawmaker and Congress politician G M Saroori in a statement informed that the incident took place on Kishtwar-Bhandarkote road.

The vehicle was carrying Yatris on its way to Tagood from Sarthal when the driver lost control while driving on a steep slope.

He demanded ex-gratia relief in favour of next of kin of the deceased.

He said that three persons of Tagood Mugalmaidan were killed after they fell from the roof of a Vehicle which was travelling on Kishtwar-Bhandarkote road.

Saroori expressed his sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.

He reiterated his concern about the pressing need for the police and transport departments, as well as the other agencies concerned, to take the all required measures, on immediate basis, to reduce the incidence of fatal road accidents in Doda district.

Assuring all possible assistance to the kin of the deceased, he appealed Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir to immediately release Rs 5 lakhs ex-gratia relief in favour of next kin of the deceased.
