The state government is working on a proposal seeking relief and rehabilitation package for the youth injured in protests during the current unrest in Kashmir.

The Union Government is understood to have agreed to implement the proposal of the state government.

Authoritative sources told KNS that under the “new relief and rehabilitation package”, the state government plans to fully adopt those blinded during the current unrest in Kashmir and offer full health expenses of those injured undergoing treatment in different hospitals within and outside the state.

Under the instructions of Chief Ms Minister Mehbooba Mufti the officials at block, Tehsil and district level are presently busy in the conduct of a survey of the families whose loved ones have been blinded and injured during the current unrest in Kashmir, sources said.
