One person died while six others were injured in different road accidents in Srinagar and Islamabad districts, police said on Wednesday evening.

In Srinagar, a Motorcycle bearing registration number DL13C-2757 driven by Ilyas Rehman resident of Rainawari, Srinagar turned turtle at Barzulla bridge, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and pillion mate Mehraj-ud-Din Sheikh, resident of Bemina, Srinagar.

Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment where motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries.

In Islamabad, a Scooter bearing registration number JKO2AL-2997 driven by Arif Hassan Mir, resident of Sangam Kandi Kote hit and injured a minor boy Mohammad Usman Bhat, resident of Bidder at Bidder, Kokernag.

The injured was shifted to sub-district Hospital Kokernag for treatment, wherefrom he was referred to District Hospital Islamabad for further treatment.

Meanwhile, a Swift car bearing registration number ASOIBJ-2483 driven by Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, resident of Batakote hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number DLSAQ-2719 driven by Momin Gulzar Lone, resident of Akad at Langalbal Pahalgam, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist and three pillion mates Arif Hussain, Mohammad Umar Bhat, Arif Raina, residents of Aayuna Ashmuqam.

All the injured persons were shifted to Pahalgam Hospital for treatment, wherefrom they were shifted to District Hospital Islamabad for further treatment.

08 Residential Houses Damaged In Fire

Eight residential houses were damaged in separate fire incidents in the valley.

Fire broke out in the shop of Mohammad Amin Bhat, resident of Issu Achabal at Issu.

The fire also engulfed two adjacent shops, resulting in damage to all the shops.

Fire was brought under control by fire tenders.

Meanwhile, fire broke out in joint residential house of Tariq Ahmad Sheikh and Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, residents of Batwara.

The fire also engulfed four adjacent residential houses of Ali Mohammad Sheikh, Tariq Ahmad Bhat, Ghulam Qadir Gojree and Ghulam Qadir Sheikh, resulting in damage to all the structures.

Fire was brought under control by fire tenders

Fire broke out in Cotton Shop of Irshad Ahmad Ganaie resident of Sandoo Achabal at Sandoo Achabal.

The fire engulfed nearby residential houses of the said person and Mohammad Akbar Ganaie, resulting in damage both the structures.

Fire was brought under control by fire tenders.

However, no loss of life or injury was reported in these incidents.
