Clashes erupted between forces and locals in Jablipora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district after forces allegedly damage property.

Locals said that in Parraypora-Jablipora forces damaged windowpanes and set rough rice heaps on fire while clashing locals.

A local told Kashmir Life, “forces came here to arrest youths who according to them pelted stones at highway but locals clashed with them and forces resorted to teargas shelling.”

Meanwhile, family of Muslim League district president Islamabad, Sabzar Ahmad Dar, alleged that forces raided their house, in Vurahal Bijbehara and allegedly beat inmates, last night.

“Forces ransacked our property and broke down trunks, besides beating inmates,” said a family member.

Family members said that Sabzar’s younger brother, Asif Hussain has also been arrested by police. “This is open terror we are facing for no fault of ours,” said a family member, “why are we being harassed.”
