In a major break-through on Tuesday, Track-II diplomacy started this morning when former politicians and bureaucrats met Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani at his Hyderpora residence.

Sources and reports former Union Minister for External Affairs Yashwant Sinha led a group is meeting Geelani this time.

On September, 06, 2016, when incumbent Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh led All Party Delegation visited Kashmir, Geelani had refused to open doors for the APD members.

Others who are in the group include the first Chief Information Commissioner of India, Wajahat Habibullah, former Air Vice Marshal Kapil Kak, veteran journalist Bharat Bhushan (Editor of Catch News) and Executive Director of the Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation Sushobha Barve.

Meanwhile, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who was released from sub-jail Chasma Shahi late Monday evening and was subsequently placed under house arrest at his Nigeen residence will meet and address a press conference at 3 PM today.
