J&K Government Employees across the Kashmir Tuesday observed ‘black day’ to protest the termination of government employees by the government for their alleged participation in anti-India protests.

Black flags were hoisted black flags at various government departments across the Kashmir.

The black flags were hoisted at Irrigation and Flood Control Department, Roads and Buildings Department, Agriculture Production Department, Srinagar Municipal Corporation and other departments.

The employees said that government is taking what “inhuman and undemocratic” measures to “suppress the voices of government employees”.

They threatened to launch a state wide agitation against the incumbent government in case it failed to revoke the termination orders of employees.

They also demanded release of all employees detained including EJAC president Abdul Qayoom Wani. (KNS)
