In North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, four more persons have been booked under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) on Monday.

Two of them are from Hajin—Khursheed Ahmad Parray and Nissar Ahmad Dar, while two from Ajas—Mazhardin Bhat and Khurshid Ahmad, reports said.

Earlier, 39 people had been booked under PSA in the district.

Reports said that most number of the PSA detainees are from Hajin and Sumbal areas where 30 persons have been booked.

They detainees have been lodged in Jammu’s Kotbalwal jail, reports added.

Meanwhile, clashes erupted in Hajin after police raided J&K Bank Business Unit in the area over “information” of presence of “wanted stone pelters” on Monday morning, locals said.

“The police raided but found no one there,” they said, “soon youths resorted to stone pelting and forces reacted by firing teargas shelling.”
