The situation in Nasrullahpora and adjacent villages of central Kashmir’s Budgam district continues to remain tense on the third day after a 21-year-old youth was killed due to heart break after during clashes on Oct 21, 2016 evening.

A resident of Nasrullahpora speaking to Kashmir Life said that there is heavy deployment of forces and the area witnessed pitched battles between youth and forces today.

He said, “several persons were injured in the clashes including yesterday in Mirgund village. One of the injured was hit with pellets in the head and he was referred to Srinagar Hospital for treatment.”

Today, he said, clashes between protestors and forces erupted several times throughout the day.

Other local witnesses said that many persons were injured.

One of the injured was being treated at a Hospital in Soibugh.

“He had received burn injuries on his hand and forehead,” witnesses said.
