J&K police on Sunday evening issued a statement about the reported incident of arrests and ransacking in Barzulla area of Srinagar.

Apropos to a news item updated by some news portals that forces ransacked the private property besides harassed the women in mates in Barzulla, Srinagar.

In this regard district police authorities Srinagar have informed that some “wanted miscreants” belong to the area.

Today morning police went in the locality to arrest them.

Some of the locals “created ruckus”. However, some “miscreants” were arrested.

The authorities refuted the allegation that any damage was caused to the household items etc. The harassment to women is also baseless.

Meanwhile, the police also reacted to a news report about reported attack on cavalcade of PDP Minister in Saderkoot area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Oct 22, 2016.

Apropos to a news item published by some newspapers from Srinagar today under the heading “PDP Minister’s cavalcade stoned in Bandipora”.

In the news item it was reported that protestors attacked the cavalcade of a senior PDP minister in north Kashmir’s Bandipora District.

In this regard district police authorities Bandipora have informed that no such incident has happened. As such the news is refuted.
