While condemning the CM Mehbooba Mufti’s words that she will beg New Delhi for talks with Kashmirs, MLA Langate  Er. Rasheed has said that it were not Kashmiris but Indians parliamentarians who from Geelani Sb to MLAs doors knocked everyone, begging for talks.

While addressing his party workers in Handwara  Er. Rasheed said, “Mehbooba must not forget that if Kashmiris have sacrificed one lack lives and faced huge destruction, why should they  be begging for talks. It is Indian state that has on and often insulted Kashmiris in the name of dialogue.”

Er Rasheed has also appealed Mehbooba Mufti not to give ‘futile’ sermons and if she is really concerned, it would be appropriate to ask Narender Modi and other Indian leaders to explain why they run away from resolving J&K dispute. “Mehbooba’s allegations that Hurriyat leaders, Pakistan and many others are provoking Kashmiris to take up stones and guns in their hands carries no weight, as those who do so, don’t consult or seek permission from their parents, relatives, friends or Hurriyat leaders. It is arrogance, history of broken promises and delay tactics of Indian state that forces Hurriyat leaders to issue protest calendars and provokes youth to take stones and guns in their hands. The youth have lost complete faith in peaceful struggle as state police doesn’t allow even prayers in mosques at historic places. It is strange when Mehbooba asks police to persuade those joining militancy to give up arms, as who doesn’t know like many others Kashmir issue has become a short cut route to achieve perks, privileges and promotions, as such top cops will always wish to have an atmosphere where they can blackmail New Delhi,” reads the statement.
