J&K Police on Saturday said that an ATM machine was stolen in central Kashmir’s Budgam district while as a truck was damaged due to fire in summer capital.

“Branch Manager of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Branch Hardu Abura Magam reported in Police Station Magam that during intervening night of 20th of October and 21st of October 2016, some unknown thieves stole ATM Machine along with cash from the said branch,” police spokesperson said in a statement this evening.

“A case FIR number 171/2016 under section 457, 380 RPC was registered in Police Station Magam and investigation is going on,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, the police spokesperson added, “a truck bearing registration number RJ13GA/5296 driven by Gurjeet Singh, resident of Fazilkah Punjab caught fire due to gas leak when they were cooking meals in the truck cabin, resulting in damage to the vehicle.”

“The vehicle was parked near Guru Bazaar in the jurisdiction of Police Station Shaheed Gunj. However, no one was injured in this incident. Srinagar police has registered a case in this regard,” the spokesperson added.
