Incarcerated Jammu Kashmir Liberation front (JKLF) chief Muhammad Yasin Malik Thursday strongly condemned the onslaught against state employees terming it as “politics of revenge and hate”.

While condemning the termination of many government employees from services under the garb of “so-called Indian national interest”, Malik who continues to remain lodged at central jail Srinagar and was for second consecutive-day today brought to Florence hospital for medical check-up said, “PDP led coalition is reminding Kashmiris of 1990s when Governor led regime used same tactics against Kashmiris to suppress their freedom movement.”

“In 1990s when the outlook of resistance was more armed in nature and Kashmir was directly ruled by Delhi, relatively the level and magnitude of oppression was less than what is today unleashed by the so-called propagators of Goli Nahin Boli and ‘battle of ideas’,” he said.

Criticizing the politics played upon the education of students, Malik said, “such is the ill-attitude and revengeful mind set of present rulers that they are shamelessly playing politics of normalcy with the careers of students and are trying to put the lives and careers of thousands of our young ones in jeopardy that too only for satisfying their sadist attitude.”

“So-called rulers following the orders of their masters in Nagpur have stooped to extreme low and only purpose of this worst phase of terror unleashed by them is to take revenge from Kashmiri Muslims and punish them  for raising their voice against illegal Indian occupation and human rights violations in Jammu Kashmir,” the JKLF chief added.

Malik further said, “suppressing a peaceful political struggle and mass resistance by military and police might and putting people of Jammu Kashmir to worst kind of oppression will yield so-called rulers nothing but shame and these Hitler like measures will only strengthen the resolve and passion of the people of Jammu Kashmir.”

While appealing international community, UN, OIC and human rights organizations to take a strong and serious “note of state sponsored terrorism in J&K, plight of state employees and students, imprisonment of more than ten thousand Kashmiris, killings of about 100 people and injuries inflicted to more than 19000 innocents among whom hundreds have lost eye sights due to pellet terrorism”, Malik said, “the failure of international community in safeguarding Kashmiris from Indian wrath will lead to a situation where people may lose hope in international community and principles of  justice and veracity.”

Meanwhile, the JKLF statement said that Muhammad Yousuf Shah who is father of JKLF activist Fayaz Ahmad Shah of Lasjan passed away today.

While praying for his heavenly abode, JKLF has expressed heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of Muhammad Yousuf Shah sahib and has expressed solidarity with his bereaved family.
