The united resistance leadership on Sunday announced the new protest calendar up to July 29, 2016.

Seeking complete support and copperation, the top Hurriyat leadership Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik appealed people to reach Lal Chowk Islamabad on Monday.

“We will pay tributes to martyrs of Kashmir in the mass gathering at Lal Chowk Islamabad after Zuhr prayers tomorrow,” the resistance leadership said in a statement issued by Hurriyat Conference (m) on behalf of the united forum.

Castigating government of India for enforcing curfew for consecutive sixteenth day since July 09, 2016 and killing 51 civilians in last 16 days, the Hurriyat appealed people to show commitment and said, “it is because of the sacrifices that Kashmir struggle for freedom has not died since 1931.”

Detailing the new protest program, the resistance leadership asked people to observe complete shutdown on Tuesday up to 2 PM. “After 2 PM, all business establishments including banks will reopen and people will store stock for themselves.” The people have been asked to observe complete black out on same day between 8 and 9 PM.

On Wednesday, July 26, the people have been asked to march towards Kulgam where “tributes will be paid to martyrs and it will be show of solidarity with the local people”. People have been told to hold protests on same evening near local Masjids in their respective areas.

The Hurriyat statement asked people to observe complete shutdown on Thursday, July 28, while there will be complete black out on same evening between 8 and 9 PM.

On Friday, July 29, people have been asked to march towards historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar’s Nowhatta area. “From nook and corner of Kashmir, people will come and offer prayers and tributes to martyrs of Kashmir,” the statement added.
