Reacting to the statement of right wing BJP criticizing Congress   over not to meeting Home Minister, Congress Sunday said that it was expected that after debating the Kashmir in Parliament, Union government would send an all-party delegation to assess the current situation in the valley.

The party also advised BJP spokesperson, who had said that Congress and Hurriyat are on same page, to go through the “contribution and sacrifices” of Nehru Gandhi family towards the nation.

The Party accused BJP for launching malicious campaign against Nehru Gandhi family, a statement issued by J&K Congress said late Sunday night.

Congress blamed BJP for the current situation and termed it as outcome of the “anti-people and wrong policies” of the Union Government.

“Union government seems not interested in ending the current unrest, as a result, the decision taken at state and Union government levels regarding the current unrest are not being transformed in reality, the situation would have been saved from going bad to worse, had the Union and State Governments taken early effective measures to contain the situation,” the statement said.

Castigating BJP for its “unfriendly” attitude towards the people of J&K, Congress spokesperson expressed surprise over the meaningless statement issued by BJP Spokesperson.

“It would have been better if BJP Spokesperson had studied the Congress history and sacrifices of Nehru Gandhi family, then think over issuing baseless statement, Congress need no certificate of patriotism from BJP,” Congress Spokesperson said.

“BJP will achieve anything out of the malicious and baseless campaign being launched, from time to time, against Congress, for the fact, Congress party believes in addressing the issues,” the spokesperson added.
