To provide basic amenities to the people of the district, the district administration Islamabad has mobilized teams of various departments to make essential commodities like rice, medicines, potable water, Sugar, K-oil, ATTA and LPG available to the consumers.
The district administration has so far, distributed more than 36000 quintals of rice to the consumers at the designated fair price shops besides 18000 LPG cylinders were also distributed, an official spokesperson said Saturday evening.
Adequate supplies of essential and lifesaving drugs especially at District Hospital and Maternity and Childcare Hospital, Islamabad have been ensured to cater to patient inflow. Besides, sufficient supplies of essential items like rice, sugar, K-oil and LPG have also been kept available at government hospitals for the attendants.
The Municipal Councils and committees of the district have also mobilized men and machinery to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of Islamabad town and other municipal areas.
The district administration has also mobilized the grass root level functionaries of various departments to mitigate the problems being faced by the public due to prevalent law and order situation.
