One cowshed, electric transformer, a vehicle were damaged and one sheep charred to death in two different fire incidents in Bandipora and Kupwara, police said Friday afternoon.
In Bandipora, fire broke out in the cowshed of one Mohammad Afzal Khan son of Abdul Rahim at Zonipora Hajin, resulting in one sheep charred to death and damage of cowshed.
The fire tenders with the help of police and locals brought fire under control. The cause of fire is being ascertained.
In Kupwara, fire broke out in an electric transformer near J&K Bank at Bypass Kupwara, resulting in damage to the transformer and partial damage to a Wagon-R vehicle bearing registration number JK09-606.
The fire tenders with the help of police and locals brought fire under control. However, no loss of life or injury was reported.
