Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) president Aasiyeh Andrabi and her close associate and personal secretary Fehmeeda Sofi were today released in an open court after she got bail. Dukhtaran-e-Millat has expressed joy over her release and said, “the puppet government had no option but to release the leader as her detention was illegal and unjustified.”
The party said that the leader has gone weak and her health has further deteriorated in police custody and she will undergo treatment and then resume her activities.
In a statement to KNS, a party spokesperson said, “we are happy to see our leader released and we thank Allah for this”.
The DeM spokesperson said, “though jail is the second home for her but since she is not keeping well for some time we were worried. Even the government doctors had advised her hospitalization but the puppets put her in a police station for weeks together where her health has further deteriorated, she will undergo a treatment before resuming her activities”.
Quoting Asiya, the spokesperson said, “I am thankful to Almighty in every circumstance He has put me through.”
“I am happy to come out of the unjustified confinement, however, it is like coming out of a small jail to a bigger one as the whole state is under the control of the occupiers and has been virtually turned in a big jail where people are not allowed to even eat of their choice not to talk of any other freedom”.
She has further said, “the government tried hard to fabricate her in false cases and wanted to put her behind bars for long but their lies couldn’t stand and they had no option but to release her after she was shamelessly rearrested thrice despite her being seriously sick.”
“Dukhtaran-e-Millat president thanked the nation for praying for her health and release and protesting against her unjustified detention and said that her resolve to work for the solution of Kashmir issue, as per the wishes and aspirations of the Muslim majority of the state, stands strengthened,” the DeM statement said and added while quoting DeM president, “arrests and other such atrocities are part of the struggle we are in, they can arrest me any time they want but they can never make me even dilute my just and realistic stand about the movement.
