Suspected militants shot at and critically injured a cop while fleeing with a rifle of Personal Security Officer (PSO) of former National Conference Lawmaker, Gh Mohi Ud Din Mir, in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday evening.
Police sources said that the NC leader was attending a wedding in Manghama area of Pulwama when suspected militants shot at injuring one Reyaz Ahmad. “Reyaz was home and works with J&K Police,” SP Pulwama told Kashmir Life.
“Reyaz was attending the same marriage ceremony where NC leader was present,” he added.
The cop was critically injured, police sources said.
“The suspected militants fled with service rifle of the PSO of the NC leader,” they said.
