Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Tuesday said the party is committed to its mission of establishing a long-lasting peace, resolution and holistic development of Jammu and Kashmir.

“There will be no betrayals with the people. We are duty bound to address the aspirations of every section of the society no matter what difficulties we may face,” party General Secretary Nimaz ud Din Bhat said while addressing a poll campaign meeting in Tral.

While praising the commitment of the party cadre, Bhat said, “The steadfastness and resolve shown by our party-workers gives us the strength to work more rigorously towards the welfare of the state and its people.”

He said the government is facing many challenges on different fronts but the unwavering stand maintained by it towards its mission of peace can’t be shaken.

“The ‘Agenda of Alliance’ is a document of faith and it will be followed in letter and spirit to usher the state in the era of reconciliation and empowerment,” he said.

Bhat said the government belongs to people and they must come forward with their ideas and suggestions to make it function more vibrantly and efficiently.

“It is a great feeling to see people contributing towards strengthening the cause of democracy and smooth functioning of the government. And we expect them to intensify their efforts to help the government in restoring normalcy and peace on the ground.”

Speaking on the occasion, Senior Party leader and MLA Tral, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, said government is aware about the issues being faced by the people of Tral and it has conceived a comprehensive and effective development plan for the area and it will be implemented soon.      “Tral is very fertile area and it will get a focussed attention of the government,” he added. District President, Abdul Gani Bhat and others were also present on the occasion.
