Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, expressed grief over the killing of two forces personnel in a militant attack Wednesday on a Border Security Force (BSF) convoy near Udhampur on the Highway.
Several other BSF personnel were also injured in the incident, an official statement said this evening.
Condemning the attack, the Chief Minister conveyed his heart-felt sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
He also wished speedy recovery to those BSF men who were injured in the incident.
Meanwhile, deputy CM also condemned Udhampur firing incident saying, “anti-national elements to be dealt with sternly”.
In his message, the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, said, “these types of incidents would be dealt with sternly and the forces responsible for the same would be given a befitting reply.” “These incidents are handiwork of anti-national elements who are hell bent upon to create disturbance in the State and their nefarious designs would not be allowed to succeed.”
