The BJP while striving to reach to its mission 44 in Jammu and Kashmir has fielded 75 candidates for the 87 member constituency while as in Valley the party has fielded 33 candidates for Kashmir valley.

As the Prime Minister along with his council of ministers and other senior BJP big wigs have taken keen interest in JK elections, party believes that instead of Congress, it is BJP’s turn to become kingmakers in the formation of government in the politically vexed state of Jammu and Kashmir .

According to the KNS correspondent, the trajectory of BJP has remained interesting in JK politics as the party in 2002 elections fielded 58 candidates in the assembly election fray but won only one. After six years of the wide gap, the party during assembly elections of 2008 issued mandates for more than 60 assembly segments of the state and won 11 seats of the legislative assembly.

At present, when the two regional parties NC and PDP are fighting with full force in Jammu and Kashmir and Congress striving to retain its authority for the government formation, the BJP with all might is striving this time to take control over the maximum number of seats in Jammu and Kashmir. The political experts are of the opinion that the emergence of BJP at all India level will have an impact upon the JK polls. It was informed that the keen interest being taken by the Prime Minister and other BJP ministers in the poll campaigning is for sure aimed at boosting the morale of party workers in JK. The visit on PM on December 8 this year is also set to turn tables around in the political landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.

Kashmir strives to end the dynastic rule in Jammu and Kashmir, says BJP spokesman for Kashmir. He added that all the three regions of the state want inclusive growth and development with the people of the state resolving to put lid over the politics of exploitation.
