Srinagar: Appreciating the action of Major Nitin Leetul Gogoi of tying a Kashmiri youth to a bonnet of army jeep during Parliamentary by-election on April 9, BJP’s chief Amit Shah Friday while supporting the act said “respect the army as jawans guard the borders and enable us to speak and live freely”.

Shah was addressing a press conference in New Delhi where said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government will very soon control the unrest prevailing in the Kashmir.

“Since the outbreak of terrorism in the Kashmir Valley in 1989, a trend has been witnessed that there have been spells of violence for three to six months. I want to assure the countrymen that the Modi government is taking the Kashmir violence very sincerely,” said Shah.
