Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Thursday condemned the killings of two civilians associated with mobile companies in Sopore and an attack on the cell tower landlord at Pattan.
In a statement here, the BJP spokesman Khalid Jehangir said, “It’s unfortunate and sad that two precious human lives have been wasted for no reason. Violence and gun have during the past 25 years have destroyed Jammu and Kashmir.”
The BJP spokesman said, “People who believe that they can establish their writ at the gun point are highly mistaken. Such elements need to bear in mind that killing innocents is the grave human rights violation. We can feel the pain and agony of the kith and kin of deceased.”
He said such acts are aimed at impeding JK’s economic activity and subverting JK’s political stability. “Elements inimical to peace need to bear it in mind that violence didn’t serve any purpose in the past nor would it serve any purpose in the future,” he added.
