As the business resumed in lower house of state legislature on Saturday, fourth day of 2016-17 budget session, the opposition lawmakers started sloganeering against the government and later staged walk out.

As PDP Minister Basharat Bukhari was responding to a query from Langate lawmaker, Er Rasheed, Congress lawmakers walked into the well and disrupted his speech.

The National Conference lawmakers are demanding discussion NFSA and Handwara killings.

However, treasury benches are busy in reacting to questions of Ear Rasheed.

However, Rasheed further asked about Keran, Karnah and Uri Migrants who have crossed LoC in 1990s. The government did not answer the question. He also referred to Naeem Akhtar’s assertion that J&K Government and Hurriyat Conference are on same page viz-a-viz return of Kashmiri Pandits.

Rasheed asked the government whether it was consulting Hurriyat on return of LoC migrants from those who are living in PaK.

However, “clarifying”, J&K Government Spokesperson, Naeem Akhtar, said, “I talked about KPs because there were rumours that 2008-like situation was being created.”

Interestingly, Independents, M Y Tarigami and Hakeem M Yaseen supported Rasheed and demanded government to come clear on the issue.
