CPI (M) State Secretary and MLA-elect Kulgam M Y Tarigami Sunday said that proposed BJP-PDP coalition was in no way beneficial for Jammu and Kashmir as the alliance isn’t based on principles.

Talking to KNS he said, “The actual reason for PDP-BJP alliance is to grab power by hook or crook. It was PDP which flaunted during assembly elections and before that they were only party which can stop Modi wave and BJP. During election campaigning leadership of both the parties used to accuse each other.”

“Now they claim that they want to solve the problems of people of Jammu and Kashmir by entering into an alliance. But the reality is that because of those alliance problems of people of the state and especially people of Valley will be compounded,” he added.

The CPI (M) leader also sought an answer from PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as what he means by saying “common ground between PDP and BJP.”

“The actual common ground between the two parties is to grab power. If they had to do the same why didn’t they form the government immediately after the election results?” he asked.
