J&K Police arrested two persons along with 90 bottles of beer from a Santro car in Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district Wednesday evening, police spokesperson said.

Acting on specific information, a team from Pampore police station led by SHO Pampore Manzoor Ahmad Beigh laid a naka on Jammu-Srinagar Highway at Frestabal Pampore and intercepted a Santro car bearing registration number JK03C-8087, which was on its way from Srinagar to Islamabad.

During search, police recovered 90 bottles of beer from the vehicle and arrested two persons identified asBashir Trambo son of Ali Mohammed and Younis Wani son Ghulam Hassan both resident of Naina Batpora Sangam.

A case under FIR Number 97/2016 under Section 50 excise Act was registered at police station Pampore against the accused and investigation taken up, police said.
