Four persons died while six others were injured in different road accidents across the valley, apolice statement said on Thursday.
A motorcycle and a Scooty collided at Dendipora, Kokernag resulting in injuries to four riders. Among the injured Monin Khan son of Saleem Khan, resident of Lohar Sinzi and Jamsheed resident of Doda succumbed to their injuries in the hospital while the other two are being treated in the District hospital, Islamabad.
Meanwhile, a Swift car bearing registration number JK05D-3757 hit an 11 years old boy Arif Nazir Bhat son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat resident of Brari pora, Handwara. The injured boy was shifted to District Hospital, Handwara where he succumbed to his injuries.
A Truck bearing registration number 4P25-AT-5919 met with an accident near Zaznar Shopian, resulting in injuries to the driver and conductor of truck. Both the injured were shifted to District hospital, Shopian where conductor of the truck Fakir Aalam son of Shabir resident of Basoli UP succumbed to his injuries.
In another accident, an unknown motorcyclist hit and injured a 50 years old Bashir Ahmad Dar resident of Tragpora, Sopore at Khushipora Rafiabad. The injured has been shifted District Hospital, Baramulla for treatment.
A Truck bearing registration number JK0AF-0325 skidded off the road near Badramana Qazigund, resulting in injuries to the driver of the truck. The injured has been shifted to Emergency Hospital, Qazigund for treatment.
In another accident, a pedestrian was injured when an Auto bearing registration number JK01C-2424 hit and injured him at city gate Panthachowk, Srinagar. Injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
