There are 104577 unemployed youth in state of Jammu & Kashmir registered with the district employment and counseling centers.
This was revealed in Legislative Assembly by the Government on Tuesday.
The number of unemployed youth in the Kashmir division is 58796 with the highest number in Kulgam District, 13039.
There are 20255 graduates, 15019 in Kashmir and 5236 in Jammu division and 6890 post graduates, 4809 in Kashmir and 2081 in Jammu province, registered with government, who are unemployed.
The registered unemployed youth in Srinagar are 5366, Ganderbal 3077, Budgam 5165, Islamabad 5375, Pulwama 5173, Shopian 4335, Baramulla 3587, Bandipora 2684, Kupwara 3987, Leh 2754, Kargil 4254.
In the Jammu region the registered unemployed youth are: Jammu 11807, Samba 5311, Udhampur 3485, Reasi 3516, Kathua 9443, Doda 1766, Ramban 1977, Kishtiwar 1590, Rajouri 4360 and Poonch 2526.
