A 9-year- old girl died while ten persons were injured in different road accidents in Srinagar and North Kashmir.

According to police spokesman, a bus bearing registration number JK03A-4011 while coming from Srinagar to Handwara hit a 9-year old girl Saika Jan daughter of Aijaz Ahmad Dar resident of Seelo, Sopore at Bohripora, Sopore. She was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Sopore for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries. Sopore police has registered a case in this regard.

Spokesman further said that a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK09/4731 turned turtle near Tutigund in the jurisdiction of Police Station Handwara, resulting in injuries to three persons. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Handwara police has registered a case in this regard.

In Srinagar’s Umarabad, Parimpora, a Santro car bearing registration number DL9CG/4709 hit and injured a pedestrian Malla Bano. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Srinagar police has registered a case in this regard.

Spokesman added that a Van bearing registration number 387364 driven by Gulzar Ahmad Dar resident of Hathlangoo and a Tata 407 bearing registration number JK05E/2680 collided near Ursoo crossing in the jurisdiction of Police Station Baramulla. Six passengers were injured including the van driver who were shifted to hospital for treatment. Baramulla police has registered a case in this regard.
