One person died and six others were injured in different road accidents across the valley, police spokesperson said on Saturday.

A scooter bearing registration number JK01N/0859 hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Hassan Khan son of Mudasir Khan resident of Kupwara near Shalteng, Srinagar. The scooterist and two pillion mates were also injured in this accident. All the injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura and SMHS Srinagar for treatment. However, Ghulam Hassan Khan succumbed to his injures on way to SMHS Hospital, reads police statement.

Meanwhile, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK04B/2556 driven by Showkat Ahmed Bhat son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Borwah turned turtle near Tangbagh, Chadoora resulting in injuries to the driver and other person Mukhtar Ahmed Raina son of Ghulam Ahmed resident of Gorwali Chadoora. Both the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment.

In another accident, an Alto car bearing registration number JK01J/6116 met with an accident at Batengoo, Khanabal, Islamabad when a poplar tree fell on it, resulting in injuries to Nazir Ahmed Bhat son of Khazir Mohammad Bhat resident of Panzgam Kokernag. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment.

Police further said that it has registered cases incidents.
